Located in the historic Wagon Wheel Building in Phoenix’s Melrose District, the Lounge was an immediate hit upon debuting in the spring of 2019. The bar’s owners - former musicians and concert promoters - invite you in with a 1970s atmosphere: vintage furniture (collected over the years, including lamps and chairs from former girlfriends and their grandmothers), a cig machine, and free arcade games. Both the bar top and tabletops are overlaid with the pine wood slats used as bowling lanes from an abandoned bowling alley in Globe. Look carefully and you might find the indicator dots and arrows that serve as bowling guides. The backyard-style patio has picnic tables, retro furniture and lawn games. The Lounge is a great spot for film and photo projects that are looking for a throw-back, Midwest vibe, authentically decorated with minimal need for styling. Featured in music videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VZzn8ICwzU), fashion shoots, and nostalgia-based advertising.
