Cleaning Routine Between Bookings
To ensure the health and safety of all our guests, our sensory play space undergoes a thorough cleaning and sanitization process between each booking. Here's what we do:
1. Surface Disinfection:
- All frequently touched surfaces, including light tables, musical instruments, interactive panels, and textured walls, are wiped down with child-safe disinfectants.
- Play equipment like foam blocks, sensory bins, and balance boards are also disinfected.
2. Soft Play Area Sanitization:
- Mats, cushions, and any fabric-covered items are sprayed with a non-toxic, antibacterial solution and allowed to air dry.
- Soft toys and plush items are rotated out and laundered or replaced after each use.
3. Sensory Equipment Cleaning:
- Sensory bins are emptied, cleaned, and refilled with fresh materials.
- Items like water beads or sand are replaced as needed to ensure cleanliness.
4. Floor Cleaning:
- The entire floor, including play mats and carpeted areas, is vacuumed and mopped with a disinfectant solution.
- Any spills or stains are treated immediately to maintain a clean environment.
5. Restroom and Snack Area Maintenance:
- Restrooms are cleaned and sanitized, with special attention to high-touch areas like faucets, handles, and countertops.
- The snack area is wiped down, and trash is removed. Floors are swept and mopped to ensure a hygienic space for eating.
6. Air Circulation:
- The play space is aired out between bookings, and HEPA air purifiers are used to enhance air quality.
- Windows and doors may be opened to allow fresh air circulation, depending on weather conditions.
7. Final Inspection:
- A staff member conducts a final walkthrough to ensure that all areas are clean, sanitized, and ready for the next group.
- Any damaged or worn equipment is replaced or removed from the play area.
