Photos in our gallery.* "Cupid's Cottage" was born out of my love of layering gorgeous jewel tones, romantic floral patterns, and ornate vintage finds in interior spaces. It is a room I dreamed up for our home, but I quickly realized that I needed to share it! Inspired by historical Rococo and Baroque interiors, the Moulin Rouge, kitschy 60s and 70s decor, and most recently my visit to Madonna Inn in San Louis Obispo, this room is unlike anything you'll find in the greater Atlanta area. "Cupid's Cottage" is the perfect photography location for portraits, boudoirs, couples, Valentine's Day, Halloween shoots - anything you can dream up! Every inch of this room was painstakingly designed and created by the owner (me!), with lots of love, (elbow grease), and the utmost attention paid to all the precious details. Notable features & props: beautiful vintage vanity with stool (including vanity props such as handheld vintage mirror, brush, etc), gorgeous king-sized bed (with plenty of room for posing) with vintage style chenille bedspread, satin and faux fur covered plush pillows, and ornate fabric tufted headboard. Three of the four walls have a lush layering of velvet and satin curtains and cornice valances in deep reds, berries, purple, and pink. One corner has a beautiful deep red velvet armchair that can be used for posing as well. The vintage side tables and dresser have been hand-painted in vibrant shades of Chinese red and magenta with brass hardware - these pieces are one-of-a-kind! The walls are adorned with vintage finds (the original 60s painting over the bed of a brunette bombshell is particularly notable) as well as faux branches adorned with roses and gilded cherubs hanging above the vanity is a show stopper! Every corner of the room can be used as a photo backdrop. Things to note: This is not a huge room, so be sure to bring a variety of lenses to capture a variety of close and wide shots. There is a bathroom attached to the bedroom that is currently not photo-ready, but you are of course welcome to use it for makeup and hair touch-ups, etc. You will also have access to the hallway guest bathroom. No other parts of the house (inside or out) are available for shooting at this time. (another room coming soon though!) Please reach out if you have any questions!
