Originally constructed as a synagogue in the early 1900s, the building that is now home to Dimension 70 has long been a place for community gathering and spiritual escape. During its renovation into a studio, fragments of the past were uncovered—pages of prayer books were found hidden within the brick walls. The building also functioned as a whiskey distillery during Prohibition, providing a space for people to defy limitations and find new experiences. Today, Dimension 70 builds on this rich history, offering a place for artists to transcend the ordinary, tapping into an otherworldly atmosphere designed for creativity. Located in Lower Manhattan, Dimension 70 is perfectly positioned between the Lower East Side and Chinatown. Studio One, the flagship space, features state-of-the-art recording equipment, including a 32-channel API console, and is adorned with custom stained-glass windows and a larger-than-life mural. Both studios are soundproof and fully equipped with professional gear for all your recording, production, or event needs. Guests have access to various configurations of tables and chairs for different setups. Dimension 70 also offers a full suite of musical instruments, amps, and audio engineering equipment.
