Standard Restrooms
Sweep and vacuum To prevent stains and damage, sweep and vacuum the floors daily, especially in high-traffic areas. Vacuum carpeted areas. Disinfect Wipe down benches and chairs with a clean cloth and an EPA-approved sanitizing product. Spray disinfectant on exercise equipment and free weights, then wipe down. Disinfect all handlebars with one cloth and yoga mats with another. Clean bathrooms Clean and disinfect all bathroom surfaces, including shower stalls, toilets, counters, and floors. Mop the bathroom floors with bathroom disinfectant. Clean glass Use a non-ammonia-based glass cleaner to remove fingerprints, smudges, and dirt from windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces. Clean gym mats Trade out gym mats after each use and clean them with a neutral pH product and disinfectant. Professional floor cleaning Have the gym floor professionally cleaned at least once a year.
