About the Space

A recently renovated 1918 row house, designed for us – a creative couple who find peace in natural light, hosting, and using our home as an evolving studio. Our home design is inspired from my childhood in California and our retreats in the desert. The house embraces its original open floor plan, natural materials, interior brickwork and ebonized hardwood floors. The space consists of lounge area, central art and media display, dining room and kitchen. The outdoor lounge area includes the front porch as well as the enclosed front patio. Additional features include moody and warm Noguchi and Schoolhouse lighting, natural sunlight, spacious open concept floor plan, custom backlit bookcase, and vintage and artist made furnishings. Most furniture in the space can be moved. Perfect for your next creative project! Lighting description

There are windows on the front and back of the house. The back of the house faces directly east with best lighting in the morning. Front of the house has a large bay window facing west, best lighting is in the late afternoon, early evening.

There is some sound that travels from the street into the house, but it is a quiet street for a majority of the day.

There is plenty of parking for larger trucks and trailers. The space has 3 steps to get into the door. The door is 34" across.

General Rules

No smoking allowed. No glitter or confetti can be used. Guests are expected to leave the space in the same condition as they found it in. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls. Damages (walls, floors, furniture, etc) will be billed to the credit card on file with Peerspace. Please notify us in advance if you need to move furniture in the space to suit your event needs.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

I take bookings on a limited basis to ensure all guidelines are followed properly.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
