Space/Event Rules:
Music is permitted at the Space. The Renter is responsible for keeping the music volume at a reasonable level and if necessary, adjusting the volume. Exterior amplified music is NOT ALLOWED without the consent of 1442. Please ensure rolling door is closed if playing amplified music after 10pm.
Dancers or entertainers you have hired for your event shall NEVER use or stand on ANY furniture or items within the building, this includes the tables, chairs, and sofas, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Vendors must have proper documentation on premises available for review upon request.
1442 on the Blvd is a drug free Space. Use of drugs, tobacco products or vaping of any kind is NOT permitted anywhere inside the Space. Smoking is permitted outside ONLY. Renter is responsible for the cleanup of all smoking related debris and/or littering fines.
Absolutely no weapons (such as firearms, knives, tasers) are to be brought onto the property.
Groups composed of minors aged 18 years and younger will always require adult supervision at a ratio of one adult to ten minors. Minors must be supervised by an adult at all times. Absolutely no exceptions.
Unlicensed gambling on the property is prohibited.
Animals (except service animals) are not permitted on the property unless part of an authorized program.
All exits must be kept clear and unobstructed at all times.
1442 staff shall have the right to enter and remain in the Space during all events to ensure these policies are being adhered to by Renter and Guests.
Conduct:
Courtesy and safety are mandatory. Equipment abuse and fighting are unacceptable behavior and will result in expulsion from the property.
The renter is responsible for the guests and vendors he/she/they/it invites into the space for the event and agrees to accept sole liability for all consequences of unauthorized alcohol, beer, or wine sales and/or consumption during the event.
Any group or person creating a nuisance, may be requested to leave the property. The misuse of the property will be sufficient reason for terminating the rental agreement with no refund.
Decorations and Clean Up:
Use extreme care when moving or rearranging furniture, including but not limited to tables and chairs. Do not drag items across the floor.
Decorations must be free standing or tabletop. Tape, nails, screws, tacks, staples, or other surface adhesives or objects that may damage the walls or other 1442 property are not permitted, and the Renter will be charged for any repairs.
Confetti, rice, glitter, fog machines, etc. are not permitted.
Outside rental equipment (i.e. chairs, tables, etc.) is allowed with 1442’s permission.
No open flame devices or pyrotechnic devices (including fog machines or other special effect devices) are permitted to be used in the Space except as follows: Electric/ battery operated candle types may be used.
All exits must be kept clear and unobstructed at all times.
Clean-up must be completed by the end of your event. The Renter is responsible for making sure that the rented Space is clear of debris, food and beverage spills, personal belongings, rental equipment and decorations. This includes but is not limited to: sweeping, mopping, wiping down walls in the event they have been scuffed etc. and cleaning the restrooms.
All garbage from all receptacles must be collected and placed in the dumpster labeled TRASH by Renter. dumpster is located outside the building. If trash or plastic bags are placed in the RECYCLING container, a minimum deduction of $100 will be assessed to the deposit.
Clean Up: If Renter does not clean up the Space after the event, Renter will be charged an additional $150 at minimum. This does not include the cost of any damages caused by renter and guests.
If you want 1442 on the Blvd to provide clean-up services, then it is available for an additional fee. Please notify the staff when you make your reservation.
Foodservice and Alcohol Policy:
Food, beverage, and service staff are NOT included in the hourly rental fee. 1442 on the Blvd does NOT possess an A.B.C. permit, also known as a “liquor license.”
All food items must be removed at the end of the event. No food items may be stored for pick up at a later date. Any leftover food items will be discarded, and damage/deposit fees will be assessed.
1442 has a kitchenette available (no stovetop, no oven) and assumes no responsibility for the preparation and service of any food items. If utilizing a professional caterer, all members using the Space and handling food items should follow procedures as required by the Department of Health and Environmental Services.
It is the responsibility of the Renter to provide food preparation, serving dishes, paper products, utensils, linens and all other items.
Outside caterers and vendors (i.e. bands, DJs, etc.) must depart at the conclusion of the Renter's event. Charges will be assessed for extensions of time.
