Welcome to our backyard oasis — a hidden gem nestled in the historic Lindaraxa Park neighborhood of Alhambra, CA. Originally built in 1913, our 1,700 sf California Modern-style home was fully renovated in 2014, blending contemporary open-plan living with historic charm. Our backyard is a 4,000 sf modern landscaped sanctuary, perfect for private events, film shoots, and photo sessions. The stepped concrete deck opens directly from the house’s indoor-outdoor living space through panoramic sliding glass walls, creating a seamless connection between inside and out. The backyard features: A gravel lounge area with firepit under suspended bistro lights An outdoor dining area shaded by a 12' x 12' modern pergola A grass lawn for flexible setups A gated concrete driveway area A two-car garage with a large blank wall ideal for outdoor cinema screenings or projections Framed by drought-tolerant landscaping, a modern horizontal slatted cedar fence, and a lush 30' tall privacy wall of Podocarpus (Japanese Fern Pines), the backyard feels completely secluded and serene — an ideal backdrop for weddings, fundraisers, movie nights, dance parties, and more. We've successfully hosted events for up to 200 guests. Additional amenities include: Private exterior access via a wide gated driveway facing an alley (perfect for easy loading and crew access) A gated side yard connecting to the front of the property Ample free street parking in front of Lindaraxa Park Direct access to kitchen and living spaces (with approval) Whether you're looking to host a lively celebration under the stars, film an outdoor scene with natural light, or create an intimate garden party, our space offers the versatility and style to bring your vision to life. We take pride in maintaining a clean, well-kept space for every guest. Here's what you can expect: Thorough cleaning before every booking: All high-touch surfaces (such as doorknobs, light switches, counters, and restroom fixtures) are sanitized before each event. Professional-grade supplies: We use EPA-approved disinfectants and environmentally conscious cleaning products. Outdoor areas are swept and refreshed: The deck, furniture, firepit, and lawn areas are tidied, wiped down, and checked for readiness before each use. Restroom access (if provided) is cleaned and stocked: We provide hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper for events that include interior restroom access. Trash bins are emptied and liners replaced between bookings. We ask all guests to respect the space and leave it in the same condition it was found. A basic cleaning fee may be included in your booking, and additional cleaning charges may apply for excessive mess or failure to dispose of trash properly.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
