Robert Anderson was a celebrated modern architect in Nashville, Tennessee, renowned for his distinctive residential designs that harmonized with the natural landscape. Active primarily from the 1960s through the early 2000s, Anderson's work is characterized by clean lines, expansive glass walls, and a deep integration with wooded, sloped lots. This was his personal home for 30 years, and we have paid homage to his design aesthetic by furnishing the home in authentic midcentury modern pieces, and large vibrantly colored artwork on the gallery walls. Anderson's architectural legacy has garnered a devoted following among design enthusiasts. His homes are often compared to the works of Frank Lloyd Wright for their organic sensibility and site-specific design. Notable admirers include Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill and model/singer Karen Elson, both of whom have owned Anderson-designed homes. Our home is nestled in the vibrant hills of Nashville, a 15 minute drive from downtown, with three sunny bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and a clean, modern interior. The street that leads to our home winds up a beautiful forest.
