To maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests, performers, and staff, the following cleaning procedures should be followed before, during, and after each event:
Daily Cleaning Checklist (Before/After Each Event)
✅ Sweep and mop all floors, including stage and backstage areas
✅ Disinfect all high-touch surfaces: door handles, handrails, light switches, counters, and tech equipment
✅ Wipe down and sanitize audience seating and armrests
✅ Clean restroom thoroughly, including toilet, sink, mirror, and restock soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
✅ Empty trash bins in all areas and replace liners
✅ Check and clean concession area: wipe surfaces, sanitize food prep zones, and restock supplies
✅ Dust and clean tech equipment and lighting consoles (avoid harsh chemicals—use electronics-safe wipes)
Between Events or Shows (Same Day Turnover)
✅ Quick sweep and mop of high-traffic areas
✅ Disinfect microphone covers or replace with new ones
✅ Wipe down chairs and surfaces used by guests or performers
✅ Restock bathrooms and remove trash
✅ Air out the space if time allows
Weekly Deep Clean
✅ Clean windows and mirrors
✅ Sanitize backstage and storage areas
✅ Detail clean tech booth and equipment (using appropriate products)
✅ Clean HVAC filters and air vents
✅ Perform full inventory of cleaning supplies and restock if needed
Additional Notes
🎤 Microphones: Use individual foam covers or sanitize between uses
🪑 Seating: Stackable chairs should be wiped before re-stacking
🚫 Food/Drinks: No food or open drinks allowed in the stage area unless part of the performance
📦 Storage: Keep all walkways and emergency exits clear of equipment or supplies
