Our 5-Step Cleaning Process
To ensure a safe and comfortable stay, we follow a detailed five-step cleaning process aligned with public health guidelines and industry best practices.
Step 1: Prepare
We begin by setting the stage for an efficient and safe clean:
- Ventilate the space before and during cleaning when possible
- Use disinfectants approved by local and national health agencies (e.g., EPA, CDC)
- Wash or sanitize hands thoroughly before and after each cleaning task
- Gather fresh, sanitized cleaning supplies and protective gear
Step 2: Clean
Cleaning removes dust, dirt, and debris from surfaces:
- Sweep, vacuum, dust, and mop all appropriate areas
- Wash dishes and laundry using the highest heat setting possible
- Wipe down surfaces such as countertops, tables, and appliances with soap and water
Step 3: Sanitize
Sanitizing reduces bacteria and germs on high-touch surfaces:
- Apply disinfectant sprays to frequently touched areas including:
>Doorknobs
>Light switches
>TV remotes
>Faucet handles
- Allow disinfectant to sit for the recommended time before wiping, if required
Step 4: Check
We double-check our work to ensure nothing is missed:
- Inspect each room after cleaning and sanitizing
- Re-clean or re-sanitize areas as needed
- Ensure all guest essentials are clean, complete, and restocked
Step 5: Reset
To prevent cross-contamination, we only reset the space after cleaning is fully complete:
- Wash or sanitize hands before handling clean linens and guest amenities
- Replace used items with fresh, sanitized ones
- Dispose of or wash all used cleaning cloths, supplies, and protective gear properly
