Located in Van Nuys, this rustic studio pairs a wood-clad control room with a curtain-isolated vocal booth and a comfortable lounge featuring a fridge, microwave, and private bathroom. The room was built to inspire creativity and provide a comfortable environment for songwriters, small groups, voice actors, and podcasters. The capture chain includes a Soyuz 023 large-diaphragm condenser and Shure SM7B dynamic microphone, Cloudlifter, Daking mic preamp, and a Universal Audio Apollo 8 interface. Monitoring is handled by Kali IN-5 three-way nearfields with a Yamaha HS8S subwoofer. Instruments on hand are a fully mic’d acoustic upright piano, microKORG synth, Orange TH30 guitar amp, assorted guitar pedals, and studio percussion such as shakers, tambourines, and cowbells. Guests supply their own computer and can connect to the entire rig with two provided Thunderbolt cables. An in-house engineer is available on request. The space suits vocal tracking, writing sessions, overdubs, voiceover, ADR, podcasts, and intimate video shoots. Book hourly with a 4 hour minimum, or choose a 12 hour lockout from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for a flat rate. Capacity is six guests. No tobacco use indoors; an outdoor ashtray is provided.
