About The Reading Room
Originally a shoe store (1920s-1990s), The Reading Room is a cozy, picturesque lounge situated in the heart of downtown Omaha. Guests enter via the historic atrium flanked by large display windows showcasing seasonal decorations. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere. The walls are floor-to-ceiling dark wood bookshelves with majestic antique chandeliers overhead and a charming wrought-iron balcony. The Reading Room is ideal for networking events, book launches, photoshoots, adult birthday parties, holiday parties, and other social gatherings. The Room offers a full bar with literary-themed alcoholic and non-alcoholic (mocktails, soda, juice) options as well as cafe beverages (lattes, coffee, tea, etc.). There is a bit of everything for each person's preference.

Cancellation Policy

Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
