Originally a shoe store (1920s-1990s), The Reading Room is a cozy, picturesque lounge situated in the heart of downtown Omaha. Guests enter via the historic atrium flanked by large display windows showcasing seasonal decorations. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere. The walls are floor-to-ceiling dark wood bookshelves with majestic antique chandeliers overhead and a charming wrought-iron balcony. The Reading Room is ideal for networking events, book launches, photoshoots, adult birthday parties, holiday parties, and other social gatherings. The Room offers a full bar with literary-themed alcoholic and non-alcoholic (mocktails, soda, juice) options as well as cafe beverages (lattes, coffee, tea, etc.).
