Reverie Forest is a dreamy Catskills retreat. Easily accessible, yet private, the house is surrounded by a mature native forest of Hemlocks, Beech, Birch, Maple, as well as giant natural bluestone rocks and mosses of different shapes and colors. The environment has a fairy-tale feel. The house itself is decorated in a minimalist mid-century and native contemporary style. With functional furniture by original artists such as Paul McCobb, Paul Cadovius, Nelson, Noguchi, designs by DWR, Thuma, as well as original hand-woven ethnic rugs. I have a large natural stone fireplace. The space itself is architectural and angular, with high ceilings, large all-around windows, and skylights. Natural light fills the entire house beautifully. Windows frame the breathtaking outside environmentor native tall trees, with striking colored bark, rocks, and moss. The feeling and mood evoked is of zen, peace, and wonder. It is a space where an artist would feel at home, or a business person who triumphs from a place of harmony, focus, and separation. Wildlife is omnipresent. The sounds are healing. Stargazing is impressive.
