This is your chance to host an event in one of the largest private green spaces in Manhattan. With a prime location on the Upper West Side and 5600 square feet of garden and patio space, this outdoor venue is truly one of a kind. We have hosted everything from weddings, to cultural events, BBQs, and intimate live shows in this special space for up to 150 people. While you enjoy being outdoors, your backdrop is a historic, castle-like red brick building. It’s one of the last remaining in the city designed by Richard Morris Hunt, aka “the Architect of the Gilded Age,” and makes for stunning event photos. Charm your guests or attendees with an event in this unique space that will make you forget you’re only blocks from the subway in Manhattan. The Green Space is located inside HI New York City hostel. Often described as “castle-like,” the enormous red brick building sits at 103rd and Amsterdam with easy access to the 1/2/3 and A/B/C subway lines. The hostel is run by Hostelling International USA (HI USA), a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting peace through travel. By booking your event with us, you support our travel scholarships, cultural exchanges, and other educational programming. While entrance to the Green Space is through the hostel lobby, your guests have exclusive access to the Green Space and dedicated private restroom.

Space will be cleaned and disinfected prior to the event. The client is in charge of clean-up, space will have to be returned in good conditions.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
