Rental Timing & Overtime Policy
---------------------------------------------
Your booking time includes everything: setup, shooting, and breakdown. Time begins when you arrive at the studio and ends once you have fully vacated the space.
To avoid overtime charges, we recommend booking extra time if needed. For example, if you expect 4 hours of shooting, consider booking 5 hours to allow time for setup and breakdown.
Overtime is charged at 1.5× your hourly rate, rounded up to the next full hour, because it disrupts subsequent bookings and requires additional ADRO staff time.
Studio Care
---------------------------------------------
This is a working production studio, and the cyc wall and turntable need protecting. Read the Host Rules before booking. The key points:
- No street shoes on the studio floor. We provide booties, and everyone must wear them the entire time they are in the studio.
- No walking on the curved portions of the cyc wall.
- Maximum of 10 people in the studio at any one time.
- Vehicle engines may run only while loading and unloading, and vehicles may not leak fluids or leave exhaust soot.
- A $300 refundable security deposit is collected in person at your arrival walkthrough.
The studio will show normal signs of wear. Minor scuffs, marks, or dirt are expected between sessions. If you require a freshly repainted cyc wall before your shoot, a $300 repainting fee applies. This must be requested and paid in advance of your booking date to allow time for resurfacing and drying.
Host Rules
---------------------------------------------
Arrival and walkthrough. Before your session begins, an ADRO representative walks you through the studio and the equipment you will use, including the curved portions of the cyc wall, and photographs the studio and equipment. These photos record the studio's condition at the start of your booking. Copies are available by email on request.
Security deposit. A refundable $300 security deposit is collected in person at the walkthrough by card authorization. It is returned at the end of your booking if the studio and all ADRO equipment are left undamaged. Repair and replacement costs are applied first to the deposit, and any amount above $300 is billed to the guest.
Rules
---------------------------------------------
- No shoes on the studio floor. ADRO provides booties. Everyone must wear them the entire time they are in the studio, unless shoes are approved under rule 5.
- Do not step off the studio floor while wearing booties. Anyone who walks outside or onto another floor must remove the booties and put on a fresh pair before returning.
- Do not walk on the curved portions of the cyc wall. Walking on the curves causes cracks.
- Protect the floor and walls from equipment and stands. Lift and carry stands, carts, and gear instead of dragging them.
- Shoes are allowed only with written approval from ADRO before the booking date, such as for vehicle work on the turntable.
- Handle all ADRO equipment with care. This includes the studio lights, softboxes, and turntable.
- Vehicle engines may run only while the vehicle is being loaded into or out of the studio. Engines must be off at all other times, including during the shoot. Vehicles may not leak oil or other fluids, and exhaust soot may not be left on the walls or floor.
- No more than 10 people in the studio at any one time, including the guest, crew, talent, and guests.
These rules apply to everyone the guest brings, and the guest is responsible for any damage they cause. Breaking any rule allows ADRO to stop the booking immediately and to charge the fees below. Normal wear, such as minor scuffs and light dirt, is not charged.
Fees
---------------------------------------------
- Crack in the cyc from walking on the curves: starting at $150 per crack, deducted from the deposit, with any unused portion returned.

- Paint damage from shoes, equipment, stands, or vehicles: deposit not returned, plus any repair cost above $300.

- Damage to or loss of ADRO equipment: repair or replacement cost, deducted from the deposit.
- Fluid leaks or soot from vehicles: cleaning or repair cost.
