Orchard Grove Retreat is a peaceful West Sonoma County retreat designed for focused work, strategic conversations, and restorative time away from the office. Set among redwoods and more than 100 fruit trees, the property is ideal for founder offsites, executive retreats, remote workdays, team planning sessions, creative brainstorms, leadership meetings, board prep, and small workshops.
This is not a traditional conference room. It is a warm, private, rural retreat where small teams can think clearly, work deeply, and spend meaningful time together in a beautiful natural setting.
The space
The main house includes multiple flexible areas for gathering, working, dining, and breaking out into smaller conversations. The living and dining areas work well for team discussions, strategy sessions, meals, presentations, and collaborative work. There is also a smaller bedroom with a desk that can be used for individual work, private calls, or a quiet breakout space.
A fully separate studio is connected to the main house by a covered porch. The studio has its own kitchen, bathroom, and queen bed, making it useful as an additional breakout room, private work area, green room, or quiet space for one-on-one conversations during daytime bookings.
Guests can gather around the dining table, work from quieter corners of the home, take walking meetings through the orchard, or step outside for reflection under the redwoods. The property is especially well suited to leadership teams that want a setting that feels more inspiring and personal than a hotel meeting room.
History and setting
The property sits in the hills of Occidental, surrounded by redwoods, orchards, and classic Sonoma County countryside. The orchard includes more than 100 fruit trees, including Gravenstein apples — a historic Sonoma County variety — along with pears, figs, pomegranates, lemons, grapes, blackberries, and more. Guests are welcome to enjoy whatever fruit is in season.
The land has a quiet, old-Sonoma feel: peaceful mornings, fresh air, stargazing at night, and space to slow down between working sessions.
Neighborhood
Occidental is a small, charming Sonoma County town known for its redwoods, quiet roads, nearby wineries, access to the Russian River area, and proximity to the Sonoma Coast. It is a great fit for teams coming from San Francisco or the broader Bay Area who want to get out of the city without traveling too far.
The area works well for executive retreats and offsites because it feels removed and private, while still being close to restaurants, wine country, coastal drives, hiking, and small-town Sonoma experiences.
Amenities
The home includes a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable indoor seating, a covered porch, outdoor areas, hot tub, cold plunge, and a garage workout area with a Peloton bike.
The kitchen is well suited for catered meals, casual team lunches, coffee breaks, or cooking together as part of the retreat experience.
Logistics
Guests will have access to the main house, the connected studio, kitchen areas, bathrooms, porch, outdoor areas, orchard, hot tub, cold plunge and garage workout space unless otherwise agreed in advance.
The property is best reached by car. On-site parking is available, and guests should drive slowly on the private road out of respect for neighbors and families in the area. The final approach is on a private rural road with some uneven sections, so daytime arrival is easiest for first-time guests.
The property runs on solar power, private well water, and septic, so it is important that guests treat the home and systems with care.
