1930s Spanish Colonial house in the famed Virginia Country Club area of Long Beach. This is the area where John Hughes shot many of his movies. This house is furnished with antiques from the 15th century, including ultra rare tapestry chairs that are from European Palazzos. The house features 3 bedrooms and three bathrooms, a library, a formal dining room, breakfast nook with a built-in black leather banquette and Murano glass chandelier, and a secret room behind a revolving bookcase. The kitchen is gourmet! An entertainer's dream! Black enameled La Cornue Range, with 2 built-in fridges, 11 foot island, with three bar stools, two oversize sinks, as well as a separate bar.
The dining room features a mirrored glass table with 6 Phillipe Starck Louis Ghost Chairs...and can seat 8 people. The dining room and kitchen both have arched French doors which lead to the exterior garden.
The garden features many succulents, fruit trees, and a decorative fountain. Towards the back is a grassy area with a large wooden boat play structure. Chicken coop as well...but no current occupants.
The former home of famed music producer Long Gone John who discovered Hole and the White Stripes, it was featured heavily in his documentary.
