This is a historic home with real character. While we’ve done a full renovation, we’ve kept what makes it special.
The home is bright, functional, and intentionally designed with the guest experience in mind! From the moment you walk in, there’s space to settle in: an entry area for shoes, coats, and dog leashes, large bedrooms with closets and luggage racks, and comfortable beds with natural fiber bedding and hotel-style pillows.
The first floor includes a large living room, a cozy sitting room, and a board game room, along with a main-floor bedroom featuring its own en suite bathroom. Toward the back of the house, you’ll find the laundry room and the heart of the home—a large, open, fully remodeled kitchen filled with natural light, custom bench seating, and a live-edge dining table we built ourselves.
Sliding doors open to a large deck and fully fenced backyard, great for dogs and getting outside.
The second floor includes three additional bedrooms and a large shared full bathroom with plenty of space to get ready and settle in.
The backyard is still a work in progress. We put most of our renovation budget into the interior, so while the outdoor space is fully usable, it’s not finished yet. Future plans include a fire pit, sauna, BBQ grill, and updated outdoor seating.
We leveled the house after 100+ years of settling, rebuilt the kitchen and both bathrooms from the ground up, and added new hardwood floors where needed, including the entire second floor. Some original quirks remain, like slightly uneven floors here and there, but that’s part of living in a home that’s been standing since the 1870s.
What we’ve focused on is simple: comfort, function, and quality.
This home is best for guests who appreciate thoughtful spaces, good design, and a place that feels well cared for.
Please note: guests do need to be comfortable with stairs. There are steps to enter the home, stairs to the back deck, and a full staircase to access the second floor.
