About the Space

ABOUT THE SPACE The quintessential Hollywood Hills house, with a Bond-picture register: monochrome gallery interiors, a floating staircase behind glass, and full-width pocket walls that vanish completely, opening the living room flush to a skyline pool deck. The threshold shot is built into the architecture. Minutes above Sunset, inside the 30-Mile Studio Zone. Inside, the house reads like a curated gallery that people actually live in: chic, clean-lined, monochrome. A collected art program runs through the main level: a plate wall in the dining room, large-scale surreal portrait pairs, pop pieces in the entry, sculpture throughout. The furniture works as set dressing as found: sculptural grey modular sofas, curved velvet lounge chairs, steel-frame leather armchairs, Italian-modern and monochrome, camera-ready without a swap-out. The clean lines carry every frame; there is nothing to hide and nothing to dress around. The kitchen is a high-gloss slab build around a marble waterfall island, with a glass wine cellar set between the kitchen and the dining room for ten. The black-marble powder suite is a location in itself, lit like a scene. And the lighting is the quiet star: designer fixtures masterfully set the tone as working practicals, reading in frame as sculptural pieces while actually carrying the scene, backed by architectural LED throughout, vertical light walls, recessed washes, toe-kick halos. The house lights itself for night interiors; a gaffer starts at seventy percent done. Outside, the pool and spa are wrapped in black stone coping with a glass-tile waterfall wall, sitting at the very threshold of the living room. With the pocket walls open, interior and deck shoot as one continuous set with the city skyline as the backdrop, golden hour through blue hour. Productions use it for feature films and episodic TV in the modern-architectural register, fashion and editorial stills, music videos, commercials and branded content, tech and luxury campaigns, and interviews. Receptions and intimate events on the deck by arrangement.
