Stretching out in front of the landmark Doheny Mansion at 10 Chester Place, this manicured great lawn is among the most photographed outdoor settings in Downtown Los Angeles. With room for gatherings of as many as 500 guests, it hosts wedding receptions, banquet parties, open-air dinners, garden parties, festivals, and large private celebrations framed by century-old trees and Victorian facades. Exclusive use of the lawn comes with a Doheny Mansion rental, together with the mansion's Pompeian Room, so festivities can move effortlessly between the gardens and the estate's historic interiors. Guests benefit from nearby parking and the full event infrastructure of the Doheny Campus. Good to know: Up to 500 guests on the lawn. Catering goes through the campus caterer; an approved outside caterer is possible on request. Alcohol only through a licensed vendor with liquor liability cover; no self-service. Music kept at a moderate level; no loud amplified sound. Campus security staff are required for groups over 50 and are charged separately.
