Set within the iconic Brooklyn Navy Yard—a historic waterfront campus now home to some of New York’s most innovative companies—this extraordinary 3,500-square-foot event space combines industrial Brooklyn history with a wonderfully eccentric, Wonka-like mix of steampunk machinery, vintage details and industrial design.
Housed in a meticulously restored former Navy Yard power plant, the space is filled with character: soaring 18-foot ceilings, original brick walls, cast-iron lattice columns, ¾-inch maple floors, vintage industrial details and dramatic open interiors. Historic architecture meets the machinery and workings of a modern coffee roastery, creating an environment that feels both authentic and theatrical.
The building was completely restored in 2015, bringing contemporary infrastructure and amenities—including modern utilities, Wi-Fi, streaming capabilities, cable and satellite access—to its historic industrial shell. The result is a distinctive setting for holiday parties, company celebrations, receptions, networking events, corporate off-sites and team gatherings.
The flexible first-floor event space accommodates up to 75 guests, with ample tables, a large retractable presentation screen, sound system, Wi-Fi and plentiful electrical outlets. Two restrooms are available for guests. Food-preparation facilities include a four-burner stove, oven, sink and refrigeration, and outside catering is welcome.
What truly sets the venue apart is its home inside the headquarters of Brooklyn Roasting Company. The larger facility is an active roasting, packing and distribution hub, roasting more than 700,000 pounds of coffee annually. Events can incorporate freshly brewed Brooklyn Roasting Company coffee service, and, by advance arrangement, guests can venture upstairs for a guided behind-the-scenes experience in the working roastery—adding an only-in-Brooklyn dimension to the event.
The venue also offers freight and loading access for vendors and elevator accessibility. Alcohol service can be accommodated with advance arrangements and all required event-specific licensing.
Standard event packages include one hour of setup, one hour of breakdown, basic post-event cleaning and one on-site staff representative. Additional services—including baristas, bartenders, enhanced coffee and beverage service, catering and private roastery experiences—can be arranged separately.
