Ideal Uses - Editorial, lifestyle, and commercial photo shoots - Portraits and headshots - Product and tabletop photography - Food photography - Interviews, podcasts, and livestreams - Small-scale content production - Team meetings, brainstorms, retreats, and offsites, too! About the home An original Rousseau architectural gem in San Francisco's Central Sunset, this sweet “storybook” Spanish-Mediterranean home was built in 1933 and retains much of its original whimsy: a center patio, arched doorways, beamed ceilings, parquet floors, fireplaces, Art Deco tile, a wrought-iron Romeo-and-Juliet balcony on one side, and sweeping Pacific views on the other. The 2,400-square-foot home offers multiple distinct shooting environments across two levels, with an unusual amount of natural light from its exterior windows, center patio, kitchen skylight, bathroom lightwell, and additional skylights. Morning light streams into the living room, while the rear bedrooms enjoy dramatic sunset views. The architecture and interiors are equal parts historic and fresh. The home was professionally decorated by Hannah Collins Designs (now ROY Hospitality) and Isabella Marie Interiors. It also features a curated collection of artwork by Bay Area artists including Chelsea Ryoko Wong, Masako Miki, Kelly Ording, Lena Wolff, Jeffrey Sincich, Chris Ballantyne, and others. This is a real, lived-in home—not a cold studio or sanitized stage—which is exactly what gives it texture, depth, warmth, and authenticity. I've obsessed over the details so the space can feel effortless to you. Please note: The main level—including the living room, dining room, kitchen, center patio, bathroom, and two bedrooms—is the primary Peerspace location and is available for bookings. The downstairs guest suite / social room and deck may be occupied by an Airbnb guest and are not guaranteed to be available. If access to the downstairs spaces is important to your production, please confirm availability with me before booking. A little history Built in 1933 by the Rousseau brothers as a model home for their small Central Sunset development, the house is one of the better-preserved examples of their distinctive craftsmanship. The development ran from Kirkham to Lawton along the west side of 34th, 35th, and 36th Avenues and was originally designed for working-class San Franciscans and their families. The neighborhood was later recommended for historic preservation by the San Francisco Planning Commission, although that process was interrupted by the pandemic. Today, the home retains much of the detail and character that made the original Rousseau homes distinctive. Neighborhood Tucked into San Francisco's quiet Central Sunset, the home is just four blocks from the entrance to Golden Gate Park and about a 20-minute walk downhill to Ocean Beach. Within a 10–15-minute walk you'll find restaurants and bars, coffee shops, grocery stores, a hardware store, ATM, and gas station. MUNI is approximately two blocks away, with easy access to the rest of the City, Golden Gate Bridge, and Marin County, as well as the Peninsula, Silicon Valley, and SFO. Street parking is generally easy to find, and taxis and car services are readily available. About me I’m a creative professional, marketing leader, and executive coach. I was born in San Francisco, and I have called the Sunset home for the past 10 years. I’m also a long-standing Airbnb Superhost.
