Our 1906 farmhouse sits on 8.6 acres above the Columbia River Gorge, with a century-old orchard, a pond, a creek that runs year-round, and forest trails through our own patch of woods. Portland is 35 minutes away, and Vancouver, Camas, Washougal and Stevenson are an easy drive. It feels much farther out than it is.
Good for
Small corporate offsites and planning days, photo and video shoots, workshops, creative retreats, and small gatherings. The house and grounds give you a lot of different settings in one booking. Your activities can move from the farmhouse to the large porch, the orchard, the pond, or the forest trails without packing up the vehicles.
The farmhouse
The house still has its original wood walls and upstair floors, alongside a renovated kitchen and a bathroom with heated floors. A wood stove warms the main floor in cooler months. The kitchen works well for catered lunches, cooking workshops, or as a home base for a crew. Two bedrooms upstairs can be used for breakouts or wardrobe and makeup. The bathroom is on the main floor.
The deck and lawns
A large deck faces the yard and old trees. It has room for a working session, a meal, or a styled set. Below the deck, open lawns under mature fruit and shade trees are easy to set up on for groups, tables, or gear.
The grounds
A Gorge overlook with benches, looking across the river to the cliffs on the Oregon side
A pond surrounded by old cedars and walnut
A century-old orchard and open meadow
Forest trails through mixed woods, good for walking meetings or natural-light portraits
Seasonal flower and vegetable gardens in spring and summer
Farm life
A working flower nursery, our horse, and our hens share the property. Their side is a working area, so the greenhouses, barn and animal enclosures are off-limits. They are still part of the view and the setting.
Practical details
Reliable Wi-Fi in the farmhouse. Cell service is limited, so plan to use Wi-Fi for calls. A large gravel lot with a one-way drive-through loop makes arriving and loading easy.
The booking includes the 1,200 sq ft farmhouse, a large deck, and about 5 acres of lawns, orchard, pond, Gorge overlook and forest trails.
