A 1955 modernist house on Esopus Creek, restored as a waterfront listening room. A wall of glass to the water, mid-century furniture and a vintage hi-fi built around JBL L96 speakers and a Technics turntable.
Mornings for coffee and the creek. Afternoons for the trail across the bend. Evenings for a record as the view fades to night. Two bedrooms sleep four. Bring records, leave everything else.
Two levels on a 1955 mid-century plan.
Main level: open living and dining room with a floor-to-ceiling glass wall facing Esopus Creek, with vintage Eames dining chairs, a Noguchi coffee table, and a hi-fi wall with JBL speakers and a turntable. The kitchen and two bedrooms are on this level, one with a Modernica rattan headboard, and the bathroom has the original mid-century tile.
Lower level: a walk-out level opening to the creek, with a third bedroom staged as a media and daybed room, a laundry area, and a two-car garage with workshop space that doubles as a staging and equipment area.
Outside: the creekfront lawn, dock, and water views toward a 161-acre forever-wild nature preserve, with a driveway and garage for crew parking and load-in.
