Underpractice is a non-profit arts & performance space in East London, with an open-plan white canvas multi-use studio suitable to a range of different practices. Alongside our studio we also have a cafe/bar which operates on a daily basis, serving speciality barista-made coffee and food. Located in the well-connected neighbourhood of Bethnal Green, the studio is within a 15-minute walk of both Brick Lane and London Fields, with Bethnal Green Overground, Bethnal Green Underground, and Whitechapel Underground stations all nearby. The site is fully accessible at ground level and includes an accessible toilet. We provide complimentary spring water and clean sweat towels to help you stay refreshed and comfortable throughout your session. Amplified audio is also available, with easy Bluetooth connectivity for playing your own music. Our studio can be hired at any time for rehearsals and photoshoots, but also to any other kinds of uses. You can also hire the whole venue for a private event or when you may require additional privacy or a more intimate environment without having the cafe/bar open to the general public. All hires are subject to approval. While we are open to almost any kind of use of the studio, when reviewing requests for whole venue hires we prioritise those that uplift or engage with the communities we support.
