The Bluewater Kings elevated our New Year’s Eve wedding and did exactly what we hoped for—they kept everyone on the dance floor all night. Molly made the entire process seamless. We were able to share lists of songs we wanted and didn’t want played, and the band even learned the specific songs we requested and performed them at the perfect moments. We’re still getting compliments from family, friends, and even our parents’ friends about how incredible the band was. They brought amazing energy all night, played requests from guests, and made the celebration so much fun for everyone. When cocktail hour ran a little long and we had to speed up speeches, the band did a fantastic job emceeing and guiding everything along naturally and smoothly. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better dance floor or a better experience on our wedding day.

We had a 7-piece band at our wedding in Chelsea, MI and it was the highlight of the night. They kept the dance floor packed and they sounded phenomenal. Athena is amazing!! They played most of the songs I had requested beforehand, and the ones they didn’t perform live they played during their break. This band is so professional and talented. I would recommend BWK to anyone who, like me, dreams of having live performers at their wedding.

My husband and I got married in Cincinnati. I had worked with Blue Water Kings in the past at my brother’s wedding. They did a great job back in 2022. I’ve waiting a couple days after our wedding to let the initial frustration die down. You see, we paid to have a sound tech and 10 other band members play at our September wedding. I still don’t understand why we had a sound tech when he or she failed to have the microphones and music working for bridal party entrances. Our MC Liz was great and when you ask our guests they would say the band was awesome. They didn’t know that next to none of the songs my husband had spent hours pulling together got played. They don’t know that most of the music played wasn’t our taste. They didn’t know that Charice, our Band Manager, had promised us that the band would play music reflective our our choices and that dances would be a 2 minute fade. So yes, our guests enjoyed the band, but the two people who were supposed to enjoy it, didn’t it. A band was a hard sell for my husband, he loves music so wanted a DJ. I wish the Blue Water Kinds were able to pull off what I wanted, a husband who would say the band and the expense was worth it.

I knew as soon as my husband and I began planning our wedding that we would reach out and hopefully work with Blue Water Kings. As a wedding photographer, I had worked with them several times prior to my own wedding and they are always incredibly talented. Corbin was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and paid close detail to the things that mattered to us. I was concerned with sound quality/being too loud in a smaller venue so he recommended adding a sound tech and it was soooo worth it!!! For our wedding, we also added a sax player to the group which totally elevated the overall vibe! We are still getting compliments on how great the band was anytime our wedding is mentioned and can truly say our day wouldn't have been what it was without them!!
