The space

Waterfront Cottage
The spacious open-plan living/dining room and open kitchen allow everyone to spend time together comfortably. The adjacent screened-in veranda provides a second oversized living space perfect for reading, working, or enjoying lake views alongside the fire table. On the patio, you'll find even more gathering space with plenty of Adirondack chairs encircling the wood-burning fire pit. The kitchen is fully stocked with a gas range, large refrigerator, dishwasher, and washer-dryer. You'll have access to everything from pots, pans, and utensils to oils, spices, coffee, and tea. There are also two fresh drinking waterspouts and an electric kettle for instant coffee, tea, or cocoa. Sleeping areas include a king-size primary bedroom, a queen-size bedroom, a bunk room with two twins, and a full bed, plus a pull-out sofa in the living room. Two well-appointed bathrooms are conveniently accessible from any bedroom. The queen bedroom and bunk room each offer workspaces, and the cabin is furnished with the fastest Wi-Fi available. All the rooms have Roku or Amazon Fire TVs for easy access to your Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, HBOMax, and Hulu accounts.

Garden Cottage
This is about a 5-minute walk around the corner or through the woods from the Waterfront Cottage and less than a minute's drive away. Generously proportioned living and dining rooms and eat-in open kitchen allow everyone to spend time together comfortably. The furnished front porch provides a second oversized living space perfect for reading, working, al fresco dining, or lounging. The expansive kitchen is fully stocked with a gas range, large refrigerator, dishwasher, and abundant wood cabinetry. You'll have access to everything from pots, pans, and utensils to oils, spices, coffee, and tea. A large peninsula and center island provides wonderful space for meal prep, casual dining, and conversation in the space where everyone tends to gather. Sleeping areas include a primary bedroom with two closets at the end of the hall, and two more bedrooms are connected by a Jack-and-Jill half-bathroom. In the hallway, the well-appointed full bathroom offers a large tub/shower, a roomy vanity, and plenty of storage space to tuck away everyone's toiletries. The oversized living and dining rooms mean you'll always find space to check in with the office, and the cabin is furnished with the fastest Wi-Fi available. The living room TV also has OTA capabilities for easy access to your Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, HBOMax, and Hulu accounts.

Guest access
Upon renting the Waterfront & Garden Cottages, guests will enjoy exclusive access to a range of amenities. The private hot tub, veranda, and fire pit are available for their personal use. Additionally, they will have access to a private, sun-filled, and temperature-controlled Recreation Center located just a short distance from the waterfront cottage. The center features mat flooring, perfect for yoga or invigorating workouts. Inside, guests will find various entertainment options, including ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, a pool table, pop-a-shot, a TV area with a couch, free weights, yoga mats, and an extra fridge. The house also offers board games such as chess and Monopoly for indoor amusement.

The charming home is nestled on 22 acres of land, which includes a shared beach and dock equipped with floating picnic tables, providing direct access to the lake. For aquatic adventures, guests can make use of a row boat for fishing, a one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, two kids' kayaks, two canoes, and two paddle boards, all of which are included with the rental. Additionally, the property boasts various lawn games, including volleyball/badminton, frisbee golf, a golf range net, soccer nets, bocce ball, spike ball, and more.

Nature enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the stunning lakefront environment and explore the vast surroundings. They can traverse the shared bridge and meander through the boulder gardens, taking in breathtaking views of the grassy fields inhabited by deer and the serene waters. A shared creek runs through the heart of the property, providing opportunities for tubing, hiking to peaceful spots for meditation, or simply enjoying the calming sounds of the flowing water.

It's important to note that the beach, creek, and hiking trails are exclusively shared by guests staying at the Highland Lake Estate. While there is one other property on the Estate that may potentially share the 22 acres during one's stay, most of the time, guests will have these amenities all to themselves. If anyone desires more privacy or requires additional clarifications, they can contact management for further details.

Other things to note
Personal chef services, yoga class instruction, massage therapy, and access to the pontoon boat can also be arranged for additional fees. Deliveries of farm-sourced, organic, and all other produce and groceries can be arranged.

Highland Lake Estate

We have had plenty of different events held here such as (but not limited to), baby showers, birthday parties, networking events, board meetings, book signings , etc. The space is set up with a large kitchen area including a mini fridge for storing food or beverages, a full stocked bathroom, white board walls, and a 75 in. Samsung Smart TV. We also have a wide variety of seating arrangements including 5 round tables with 50 padded folding chairs, 6 rectangular tables that sit 2-4 at each, a conference table that seats 6, as well as 4 couches with a combined capacity of 8. Any of which can be removed for different set ups. There is also an attached outdoor patio area with 2 tables, 12 chairs, and 2 umbrellas.
