Celebrating Life’s Moments: Peerspace Launches Its First-Ever Commercial

Peerspace is coming to a TV screen near you. We’re excited to officially launch our first-ever commercial, a love letter to life’s big moments and the spaces where we celebrate them. Keep reading for a behind-the-scenes look at how our first video ad became a reality.

A Journey Through Love and Celebration

Our story begins with Harper, a twenty-(ok, maybe thirty-)something preparing to celebrate her birthday. As she explores the Peerspace app, she finds a stunning venue that sets the stage for a magical evening. Little does she know, this celebration will also lead her to meet someone special. The chemistry between Harper and a charming stranger sparks a romance that unfolds throughout the video.

As their relationship blossoms, the narrative progresses through key life events: the couple’s engagement party and, ultimately, a joyous baby shower. Each scene showcases how Peerspace is there for every major moment, providing unique and memorable spaces to gather and celebrate.

Through the Eyes of Real Peerspace Users…

What makes this production truly special is that it was brought to life by real Peerspace users – from the cast to the crew.

Behind the camera, we wanted to make sure our director and production team were experts in bringing the voice of Peerspace to life for a digital audience. Enter: Our insanely talented social agency, Round Two Agency. Founder Stew Clementz and team have a deep understanding of the Peerspace brand and seamlessly transitioned from social content to a full blown commercial.

Our behind-the-scenes photographer is also an expert when it comes to Peerspace! Carianne Older, a showstopping Peerspace Ambassador and staple of the Los Angeles creative community, leveraged her deep knowledge of Peerspace to capture the magic of the day. Carianne has used Peerspace nearly a hundred times in the past six years and had previously shot in some of the spaces we used for this commercial!

We didn’t only include Peerspace guests in our crew, however! Our on-set stylist and one of our actors are proud Peerspace hosts. Kristen Ritchie, our eagle-eyed wardrobe expert who curated the looks for our on-screen talent, has been a Peerspace host since 2017 and currently offers bookings at her dreamy West Hollywood apartment on Peerspace. One of our actors are proud Peerspace hosts. Lali Martinez (our actor with pink hair – you can’t miss her in the engagement party and baby shower scenes!) is the host of a stunning loft in Brooklyn. She listed this space with Peerspace over a year ago and has already hosted some incredible photo and video shoots.

… in Real Peerspaces

In a whirlwind of creativity and collaboration, the crew traveled to three Peerspaces in just twelve hours. Each venue was carefully selected to bring to life the perfect event for each of Harper’s life milestones.

Harper kicks off her journey with a birthday party hosted at Odyssey 21 Venue, a unique event space with plenty of room to bring together a large group of friends for dinner and some cake. The area we used to film the birthday party was just one small corner of this sprawling event space. The host, Megan, has meticulously curated a mid century modern dream – from wood paneling and shag carpet to pop art and rattan hanging chairs, no detail has been overlooked.

Moving on to Harper’s engagement party, we booked this Gorgeous Modern Bungalow in Hyde Park for the second event of the day. Brett’s idyllic home offered a large, functional kitchen that allowed for both cooking and enjoying a celebratory meal (with plenty of room for dancing and champagne toasts!). Fun fact: We shot the opening scene in Harper’s bedroom in this space as well!

Finally, we found the perfect Peerspace for Harper’s baby shower at this Barbie Pink Pastel Retro Studio. This space was ideal for a more intimate gathering with a few close friends and some sweet treats – and, of course, a confetti-filled gender reveal (spoiler: it’s a girl). Yalina had tons of props on hand that helped bring an extra touch to decor for this scene, including fluffy pillows, pink furniture, and charming light fixtures.
