The 8 Most Instagrammable Places in Denver

Who doesn’t want to visit Denver? After all, Denver is a thriving city full of young people, and it’s packed with super-fun things to do. And it’s just a short drive away from some of the most amazing hikes in the country. We love Denver for its friendly people, interesting history, fun bars, and energetic fashion and music scenes. Without further ado, here are eight of the most Instagrammable places in Denver.

1. Share a brew and snap photos at Grandma’s House Bar

This bar is designed to look like your grandma’s house, with tons of knickknacks, your “grandpa’s” shirts, candy dishes, and an old TV with a Nintendo she got at a yard sale. Our favorite touch is the hand-knitted sleeves over the handles of the beer taps.

You’ll love Instagramming with your bestie in this bar with its retro-kitschy vibe, and it’s a great starting point to a classic night. There are plenty of bars — and even some places to dance the night away — just a short walk away.

2. CTRL Collective in LoDo is perfect for that uber-Instagrammable event

CTRL Collective in LoDo is a shared office space that can also be rented out for events, shows, and much more. So, whether you’re looking for a daily place to go and complete remote work, or want to throw a classic networking event, CTRL Collective is your perfect location. As far as event venues go, CTRL Collective –– with its amazing art and bright, open floor plan –– is certainly one of the most Instagrammable places in Denver.

3. Get blown away by the art and good vibes at Bitfactory Gallery

The Bitfactory Gallery is a well-loved art gallery in the art-filled area of Sante Fe Drive. We love Bitfactory’s unique slant. The art is emotive and challenging — or abstract and punky — and the overall design of the place is so fashionable and quirky, it’s pretty common for people to walk in and start taking selfies right away. If you really love Bitfactory’s aesthetic like we do, you can even talk to the proprietor about potentially renting the gallery out for a future event or photoshoot.

4. Take selfies with your pup at Crawford Hotel at Union Station

If you’re visiting Denver and want to stay in the coolest hotel in town, check out the Crawford Hotel at Union Station. They’re just about the most pet-friendly hotel we’ve ever seen. And, whenever you check in with your doggo, they’ll issue you a Furbo camera so you can keep an eye on your pup even when you’re out on the town. This means your dog can Instagram while you’re Instagramming — which is probably your pet’s dream.

5. Own Instagram with a picture from the Lush Grounds at the Denver Botanic Gardens

The Denver Botanic Gardens has just about everything you could want in an Instagrammable locale. Lush grounds, gorgeous exotic plants, impeccably designed architecture, colorful outdoor art, and calm, clear water.

If you’re a local, become a member for unlimited access to one of the most Instagrammable places in Denver. If you’re in town for a short stay, check out the current art exhibit, then get some amazing Instagram shots in the verdant gardens.

6. Learn all about Denver’s favorite daughter at Molly Brown’s House

You might not know the name Margaret “Molly” Brown off the top of your head, but you’ve almost certainly heard of her. She’s the “new money” woman played by Kathy Bates in Titanic. The real-life Molly Brown was far more fascinating than Kathy Bates’s character. And the knowledgeable docents at the Molly Brown House — armed with knowledge from Kristen Iversen’s excellent book Molly Brown: Unraveling the Myth –– will be able to tell you all about her.

Molly may be most famous for being among the bravest survivors of the Titanic, but there is so much more to her story. Her mini-mansion, with its gorgeous red rock and eccentric decoration, is one of the most Instagrammable places in Denver.

7. Bask in the glory of industrial and Victorian styles at Bigsby’s Folly

Bigsby’s Folly on Wazee Street is both a super-fun place to spend an evening drinking with your friends, and one of the coolest event venues in town — so whether you want to Instagram yourself with an expensive bottle of wine (or one of their unique craft-beer offerings), or throw a classic party no one will ever forget, Bigsby’s Folly is perfect for you.

We love the juxtaposition of a warehouse façade with the decadent touches of the huge crystal chandeliers, kilim rugs, and velvet Victorian-style furniture. It’s a perfect backdrop for some epic Instagram shots.

8. Relax on the best yellow couch in the city at Gasmoney Studios

Photo studios are always by their nature inherently Instagrammable and, for our money, Gasmoney Studios — which is situated in the coveted arts hub of River North — is one of the best in Denver. This loft-style photo studio and creative space comes complete with exposed brick, strong natural light, and vintage mid-century decor.

It’s a raw industrial space, yet it’s tasteful and sophisticated, making it an unbeatable choice for both studio-style photography and soft natural light sessions. At Gasmoney, the owners believe inspiring spaces fuel creativity and, if you spend a little time within their walls, we think you’ll agree.

These are just a few of the most Instagrammable places in the city. Denver boasts public art galore, tons of fun bars and music venues, the beautiful campus of the University of Denver, and gorgeous neighborhoods like LoDo, Capitol Hill, Five Points, and more. If you allow yourself to explore, you’re bound to come across even more truly gorgeous and Instagrammable spots.
