Colorful Wallpaper, Cheese Boards, and New BFFs: NYC Brunch Squad Has Perfected the Girl Gathering

When Liza Rubin created NYC Brunch Squad in 2018, her goal was to build a platform “where fabulous women come together to brunch, bond, & ignite lasting connections.” Six years later, Liza has nearly 10k Instagram followers and hosts an average of ten gatherings per month for members of her Squad.

An expert in event planning, Liza places great importance on where she hosts her brunches (check out the Galentine’s party she hosted at this gorgeous Peerspace in February). From content creation to conversation ice breakers, the success of an event starts with its location.

Recently, Liza was looking for a fun, colorful space to host a charcuterie workshop in partnership with catering company Gathar. Through Peerspace, she found and booked a stunning studio (designed by influencer Rachel Martino) that perfectly matched the playful tone of her gathering. The space offers endless conversation pieces, including a dried floral installation with a neon sign, an Alice-in-Wonderland-themed bathroom, and floor-to-ceiling fuchsia arched bookshelves filled with unique decor.

This studio proved to be a hit with Liza’s Squad. As she noted after the event, “Every detail is meticulously curated, leaving you endlessly amazed by the owner’s impeccable taste and creativity. It was the perfect setting for our charcuterie class, and our attendees were thrilled to spend the afternoon there.”
