Meet Marquise, Space for Change Recipient

Marquise McGriff is a talented nonprofit founder and 2020 Space for Change recipient. We caught up with Marquise to see how Space for Change and Peerspace helped bring his celebration, Dew in the Morning, to life.

As described by Marquise, Dew in the Morning was a brunch hosted by his nonprofit organization, Rdevia, which is dedicated to the fight for HBCUs. During the event, he awarded scholarships to HBCU students and partnered with Black-owned businesses to provide brunch to all guests.

Upon receiving Peerspace credit through the Space for Change, Marquise booked the Center for Black Innovation “because their mission is similar to ours: uplifting disadvantaged people” and is located in the Marquise’s founding city – Miami.
