Wineries are another space designed with rustic concepts in mind. Most sit on several acres of secluded property where you can easily hold both indoor and outdoor events. The vineyard itself is beautiful as a photogenic wedding photoshoot location and for the ceremony itself. And you can hold dinner, dancing, and other activities under a tent, in a barn, or an event hall. Some of our favorite rustic wedding locations are the lake cottages that dot the countryside. Corbett Lake Cottage is one such venue, with room for up to 55 guests just a couple hours' drive from downtown. Canoeing on the lake, shade covered paths for walking, and a genuine wood cottage make this one of the top intimate rustic wedding spots in the area.
Fraser River Lodge is another rustic wedding venue a few hours away from downtown. Despite being nestled right against the mountains, you have a full selection of event spaces to choose from. Their wedding hall offers scenic views of the nearby river and mountains during the ceremony. After which the reception can be enjoyed in the lodge space, with its cozy fireplace, bar, and other intimate touches.
