The best way to choose the right wedding reception venue is to narrow down the scope and style you have in mind. For a smaller scale reception, we recommend lofts, restaurant dining halls, and banquet halls. If your venue also happens to be a hospitality brand, like a hotel or restaurant, you can easily arrange catered buffet spreads or meals with them as well.
If you want more of a rustic character, check out the wineries, farms, restaurants, bed & breakfast inns, and historic homes a short drive from downtown. These spaces have ample natural light, greenery, and extra space for dancing, cocktails, and dining that come at a much higher cost in the city proper.
Large-scale weddings are just as doable in Vancouver, however. Check out the Vancouver Convention Centre, best known for hosting trade shows and other events, but also a premiere wedding venue. It also offers professional staff that will handle everything from entertainment to meal preparation. The Vancouver Convention Centre has several rooms with waterfront views, including the Signature Ballroom and East Parkview Terrace.
