Earthy wedding decor

For an earthy wedding, your decor should complement and draw attention to the beauty of nature surrounding you. That means it shouldn’t be too flashy or garish in a way that distracts from the setting. For this reason, we’d recommend the use of more understated and neutrally-colored wedding decor.

If you want to include brighter colors – jewel tones go especially well with earth tones – we’d recommend including them in limited quantities as smaller pops of color to emphasize important features. Something laid-back, comfortable, and not overly tight or structured will make it easy to walk around in nature. We’re thinking soft, flowy gowns here – you have a lot of options. And as a bonus, this choice will probably be a little more affordable than your average wedding gown.

Second, you can go in exactly the opposite direction and juxtapose the natural beauty of the landscape surrounding you with an extra-fancy and intricate gown. Be sure to budget for this because the kinds of dresses we’re talking about probably won’t be cheap!
