Lectures are the foundation of the university education system. Organizations like The University of the Arts in Philadelphia have several lecture halls for rent, including the historical bank building on the corner of Broad and South St. It features raked seating for up to 250 lecture attendees overlooking a 31 x 39 ft. stage area. Despite its long history the building has been renovated with state of the art computerized lighting and sound systems.
The Recital Hall in the Caplan Center for the Performing Arts at University of the Arts is an even larger space. It boasts 22,000 square feet suitable for lectures, recitals,
castings, performances, and other events. There is also a green screen and dressing room on site to help with video productions and cast costume changes.
