Is This California’s Most Instagrammable Ranch? Check Out This Month’s Wow Space
One space, endless content opportunities. Created by filmmaker and photographer Charlie Rude, Chanado Hills is a one-stop-shop for photo and video shoots. This open-air, multi-set studio is located in the middle of a 5 acre ranch with a panoramic view of the mountains in Juniper Hills, California. The space is filled with carefully curated set pieces like a vintage phone booth, old school camper van, and retro gas station – all set against a remote desert backdrop. Though the ranch is just an hour’s drive from Hollywood, Charlie has created a time machine to decades past.
When designing this space, Charlie tapped into his own background as a creator to ensure guests would get the most out of every booking – “Chanado Hills is a studio that allows you to capture many different looks,” he notes. “Photographers and filmmakers create more content in less time.”
Some of his guests’ favorite setups include carefully sourced antique items – such as an authentic old west chuck wagon and 1953 Ford Jubilee tractor. This attention to detail is what makes Chanado Hills a creative’s paradise. As Aria I., a Peerspace guest who booked this space for a music video shoot, noted, “The multiple sets are each so intricate and visually compelling.” Most guests end up shooting at different locations within the space during their booking at the ranch, bringing to life an entire project in just a day.
Charlie is committed to regularly introducing new sets to Chanado Hills, giving guests a reason to book his space again and again. “This place is full of options and knowing it will have even more options in the future makes me wanna come back for sure,” shared Brahma R., a Peerspace guest who booked the space for a production. “The location was an abundance of inspiration,” added guest and photographer Heather K. “[It] was the perfect backdrop for our photoshoot.”
