Starting in 2014, you may have noticed a hint of southern drawl in the homeowners’ accents or deduced that the plants and trees growing in the yards looked quite a bit different than in previous episodes and seasons.

That’s because 2014 was the year “Love It or List It” began filming in North Carolina! The crew of “Love It Or List It” made a big move that year and began looking for homeowners interested in redesigning their homes in the Raleigh–Durham area.

For the real detective sleuths, you may also have been able to tell which episodes took place in North Carolina. During those episodes, contractors Eddie Richardson and Fergus McLaren are replaced by head contractor Eric Eremita.

A changing tide in 2021

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, “Love It Or List It” made the decision to head back home. In January 2021, the show announced on Twitter that they would be headed back to the Toronto, Canada area.

The 18th season of “Love It Or List It” premiered in October 2021. The latest season premiered in September 2022, and low and behold — Hilary and David are back in North Carolina!
